Launch of Bato-Balani Publication

Ten years after Rodel Tapaya’s first solo exhibition, 2014 becomes a celebration of his artistic career thus far. “Bato-balani”, his ongoing exhibition at the Ateneo Art Gallery features his latest visual explorations on folk narratives and the enigmatic power that emanates from the local anting-anting.

The Ateneo Art Gallery is launching the exhibition catalogue this coming Saturday, 22 February 2014, 4:30 PM at Art Fair Philippines, Booth C, 6th floor of The Link, Parkway Drive, Ayala Center, Makati City. Featuring the essays of Dr. Alice G. Guillermo, Dr. Fernando Zialcita and Heinz-Norbert Jocks, it includes a catalogue of the artworks featured in the Ateneo Art Gallery show. The publication was made possible through the generous assistance of ARNDT.

“Bato-balani”, the exhibition runs until 30 April, 2014 at the Temporary Exhibitions Wing, Ateneo Art Gallery.
